Van Cleef & Arpels Jewelry: Spreading the Beauty of Nature
Within the distinctive Indochine architectural setting of the French Consulate, Van Cleef & Arpels collaborated with French artist Charlotte Gastaut to create a dreamy space reminiscent of a garden filled with light. Guests were able to admire innovative high-end jewelry collections such as Zip necklaces, floral-themed jewelry, and watches with intricate movements.
History and Craftsmanship
Originating from the love story of Alfred Van Cleef and Estelle Arpels in 1906, Van Cleef & Arpels has captured the hearts of jewelry enthusiasts worldwide with their “storytelling” jewelry pieces. From the four-leaf clover Alhambra symbolizing luck, the mirror-polished Frivole flower petals, to high jewelry designs inspired by nature, fairies, the Ludo bracelet, Zip necklaces, and ruby rings designed with the Mysterious Setting technique… all create an impressive treasure trove of jewelry art.
Special Event in Vietnam
This is Van Cleef & Arpels’ first high jewelry event in Vietnam, in collaboration with artist Charlotte Gastaut to decorate the space with artistic works, creating a romantic and poetic garden. Beauty and romantic spirit are always at the core of Van Cleef & Arpels’ heritage and the inspiration for the jewelry creations and experiences Maison wishes to bring to its customers.
Unique Experience and Cultural Value
Guests attending the event were mesmerized by the enchanting garden and learned fascinating stories behind each jewelry piece, gaining a deeper understanding of the unique cultural value of Van Cleef & Arpels. The event was not only an opportunity to meet and hear from customers but also a chance for Maison to engage with and honor the local Vietnamese culture.
Connecting Culture and Art
Van Cleef & Arpels jewelry has a special connection with the world of culture and art, from ballet to nature. Maison always emphasizes craftsmanship and the artistry of its craftsmen. When coming to Vietnam, Van Cleef & Arpels aims to learn about and collaborate with projects, artists, and the community here in the future.
L’École and the Spread of Knowledge
L’École – The School of Jewelry Arts founded by Van Cleef & Arpels in 2012, with locations in Paris, Hong Kong, and Shanghai, imparts knowledge about the history and art of jewelry-making to anyone who loves and is interested in jewelry.
Change and Development
In 20 years with the Richemont group, I have noticed significant changes in Asia and Southeast Asia, with an increasing appreciation for high-end jewelry. Customers increasingly understand and value the heritage of Van Cleef & Arpels jewelry.
Future in Vietnam
I look forward to meeting Maison’s customers at boutiques or events, spreading the heritage values of the brand. The boutique in Vietnam is an important milestone, and I am eager to learn and prepare for future cultural and artistic collaborations.
